Terms of Service

1. What this agreement covers

These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and HeyJenni ("HeyJenni", "we", "us"). They apply when you use heyjenni.com and everything on it.

HeyJenni is a focus room. It plays lofi music, runs a timer, keeps a short task list for your day, and lets you talk to Jenni, an AI companion, while you work.

By using the service you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use HeyJenni.

2. Who can use HeyJenni

You must be 18 or older to create an account. You confirm your age when you sign up.

If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we will close it and delete the data.

3. Jenni is an AI

Jenni is an AI companion, not a person. Her replies are generated by an AI model, and the chat is labeled so you always know that.

She can be wrong, and she has no real experiences, feelings, or professional training. Do not rely on her for medical, legal, financial, or psychological advice.

Jenni is not a substitute for professional help or emergency services. If you are in crisis, please read our Safety page for where to get real support.

4. Your account

You can sign in with an email address and password, or with a Google account. You are responsible for keeping your credentials safe and for what happens under your account.

You can use the room as a guest, with a limited number of messages and no account. Guest tasks and notes live in your browser only. Clearing your browser data removes them, and we cannot restore them.

Tell us at hey@heyjenni.com if you think someone else has access to your account.

5. Fair use

While using HeyJenni, please do not:

• Use the service if you are under 18.
• Try to break, overload, or probe the service, or get around message limits.
• Use automated tools to send messages or create accounts.
• Send content that is illegal, or that sexualizes minors in any way.
• Use Jenni to produce content that harasses, threatens, or defrauds other people.
• Resell access to the service or present it as your own.

6. What you write

Your tasks, notes, and messages stay yours. We do not publish them, and HeyJenni has no public profiles, feeds, or shared content.

You give us permission to store and process what you write, only as far as it takes to run the service: to show your list back to you, to give Jenni context for a reply, and to keep the service safe and working.

We may review content when we have a concrete reason, such as investigating abuse or responding to a legal request.

7. What belongs to us

The site, its design, the scenes, the Jenni character, and the HeyJenni name belong to us or to our licensors.

The music is licensed for playback inside HeyJenni. You may listen to it while you work. You may not download, redistribute, or use it in your own recordings, streams, or videos.

8. Paying for HeyJenni

The room, the timer, the tasks, and the music are free. Messages to Jenni are limited per day.

Pro is a monthly subscription that raises the daily message limit. It renews automatically until you cancel, and you can cancel at any time in your settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal and keeps your access until the period you paid for ends.

Coffee is a one-time purchase that adds messages to your account. Those messages do not expire.

Prices are shown before you pay. Payments are handled by our payment provider, and we never see your full card details.

Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.

9. Changes to the service

We are still building HeyJenni, so features will change. We may add, alter, or remove parts of the service.

If a change materially reduces something you are paying for, we will tell you before it takes effect.

10. Ending the agreement

You can delete your account at any time in your settings. Deleting removes your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or where we are required to by law. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why.

If we close your account without cause, we refund the unused part of a paid period.

11. No warranty

HeyJenni is provided as it is. We do not promise that it will always be available, uninterrupted, or free of errors.

We do not promise any particular result from using it, including any effect on your concentration, productivity, or wellbeing.

12. Limits on liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, for lost data, or for lost profits.

Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event.

Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud caused by us, or any other liability that cannot legally be limited.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine, without regard to conflict of law rules.

If you are a consumer, you keep the protections of the mandatory law of the country where you live.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed.

If a change is significant, we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use HeyJenni after that means you accept the new terms.
