Content Removal Policy

Last updated: March 10, 2026

1. Introduction

This Content Removal Policy ("Policy") explains how users, rights holders, and other parties can request removal or restriction of content on the HeyJenni platform.

HeyJenni provides AI-generated conversational experiences where users may interact with artificial intelligence characters and create fictional scenarios, prompts, and dialogue.

Because the Platform allows user-generated content and AI-generated responses, we maintain procedures for reviewing and removing content that may violate our policies or applicable law.

This Policy describes:

  • how content removal requests can be submitted
  • how we evaluate such requests
  • what actions may be taken in response.

2. Grounds for Content Removal

Content may be removed, restricted, or blocked if it:

  • Violates Platform Policies: including Terms of Service, Content Policy, and Community Safety Guidelines.
  • Violates Laws or Regulations: including content that is illegal, abusive, fraudulent, or harmful to individuals or groups.
  • Infringes Intellectual Property Rights: including copyright, trademark, or trade secret violations.
  • Violates Privacy Rights: including content that reveals personal information, private communications, or identifying details without consent.
  • Involves Harmful or Dangerous Content: including content that promotes violence, encourages self-harm, exploits minors, or contains non-consensual sexual material.
  • Creates Platform Safety Concerns: if we believe it creates legal exposure, threatens user safety, undermines platform integrity, or conflicts with community standards.

3. Reporting Content

If you encounter content that you believe violates this Policy, you may report it using one of the following methods.

3.1 In-Platform Reporting

Where available, users may report content directly through the Platform by using the Report feature associated with:

  • chat messages
  • characters
  • profiles
  • other content.

3.1.1 Moderation Speed

This allows our moderation team to review the content quickly.

3.2 Email Reporting

Content removal requests may be submitted via email.

Please send requests to: hey@heyjenni.com

Include the subject line: Content Removal Request

Your request should include:

  • your name and preferred contact email
  • the URL or location of the content
  • message ID or conversation reference if applicable
  • a description of the issue
  • screenshots or links when possible.

3.2.1 Incomplete Requests

Incomplete requests may delay review.

4. Copyright (DMCA) Takedown Requests

HeyJenni respects intellectual property rights and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

If you believe that content on the Platform infringes your copyright, you may submit a DMCA notice.

A valid DMCA notice must include:

  • the full legal name of the copyright owner or authorized representative
  • mailing address
  • telephone number
  • email address
  • identification of the copyrighted work allegedly infringed
  • the exact location of the infringing material (URL or message ID)
  • a statement under penalty of perjury that the claimant has a good-faith belief that the use is unauthorized
  • a statement that the information in the notice is accurate
  • a physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized agent.

4.1 DMCA Submission

DMCA notices should be sent to: hey@heyjenni.com

Subject line: DMCA Takedown Request

5. Review Process

When we receive a content removal request, we follow a structured review process.

  • Step 1 — Acknowledgment: We will acknowledge receipt of the request, typically within 7 business days.
  • Step 2 — Investigation: Our moderation team will review the reported content, surrounding context, relevant policies, and applicable laws.
  • Step 3 — Decision: We determine whether the content violates platform rules or legal requirements.
  • Step 4 — Enforcement: If a violation is confirmed, we may take appropriate action.
  • Step 5 — Notification: Where appropriate, we may notify the reporting party, content creator, and other relevant parties.

6. Counter-Notice Procedure (DMCA)

If your content was removed due to a DMCA complaint and you believe the removal was incorrect, you may submit a counter-notice.

A counter-notice must include:

  • your full legal name
  • mailing address
  • phone number
  • email address
  • identification of the removed content and its previous location
  • a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe the removal was made in error
  • consent to the jurisdiction of a competent court
  • your physical or electronic signature.

6.1 Counter-Notice Submission and Restoration

Counter-notices should be sent to: hey@heyjenni.com

If the original claimant does not initiate legal action within 10-14 business days, we may restore the content at our discretion.

7. Possible Enforcement Actions

Depending on severity and context, HeyJenni may take one or more of the following actions.

Content Actions:

  • remove specific content
  • restrict visibility of content
  • block access to content
  • issue warnings
  • temporarily restrict features
  • suspend accounts
  • permanently terminate accounts.

7.1 Repeated Violations

Repeated violations may result in permanent account termination.

8. Appeals

If you believe content was removed in error, you may submit an appeal.

Appeals should include:

  • a description of the decision you are appealing
  • supporting information explaining why the content does not violate policies.

8.1 Appeal Submission

Appeals can be submitted via email: hey@heyjenni.com

9. Cooperation with Authorities

HeyJenni complies with lawful requests from courts, regulators, and law enforcement agencies.

Where legally required, we may preserve or disclose user information in connection with investigations.

We may also act to prevent imminent harm to individuals or the public.

10. Platform Moderation and AI Safety

Because HeyJenni uses artificial intelligence to generate responses, content moderation may involve both automated detection systems and human moderation review.

AI-generated responses may occasionally produce unexpected outputs.

We continuously improve moderation systems to reduce harmful or prohibited content.

11. Policy Updates

We may update this Content Removal Policy to reflect changes in law, platform updates, and evolving safety practices.

Updates take effect immediately upon posting on the Platform.

We encourage users to review this Policy periodically.
